Which team you rather face in next round? Wings or Bruins?

This. Philly has always been our achilles heel.

I'd prefer to play Detroit but I also think we can beat Boston.

The way we've gone I think we can beat anyone. Philly is another team with potentially shaky goaltending. With 4 lines that can bring offense right now, I don't think we'd actually have too much trouble against Philly. I'd be more worried that a team like NYR will get lights-out goaltending for the series.

I'll maintain my stance, the Habs can take anyone in the Conf (including Boston), except Philly & CBJ.

Bruins are meaner, bigger, more talented all around than the Flyers.

There is no logical explanation as to why we would rather play Boston instead of Flyers.

Unless you tell me we are psychologically inside the Bruins head ??? But they've beaten us in our last playoff meeting, and went on to win the Cup, so we are not in their heads anymore. Regular season games mean shit right now.

It seems like we always have a chance against Boston, no matter what. They were huge favorite last time and we took the first 2 games and ended up losing in game 7 in OT and they went on the win the Cup without much difficulty afterward. We didn't even had a strong team that year.

We always seem to crumble against the Flyers. We lost against Biron and Leighton of all goalies! Easily too.

Would rather play the Red Wings. Habs will have a tough time beating the Bruins in a seven game playoff series this year, the refs will let Boston do anything they want (hence why Lucic's not suspended)... gotta hope for a Detroit upset, but that likely won't happen.

If Mtl does manage to beat Boston (or Detroit), then either NYR or Philly would be beatable, but I would personally rather play the Flyers for a little payback.

Because the Bruins go stupid vs the Habs - the orgs inferiority complex short circuits the players brains & the Bruins have difficulty with the Habs speed quotient. Rask: 3-13 .900 sv pct lifetime. They will be a cakewalk.

The Flyers team collectively is far superior offsensively to the Bruins & possess the speed to keep up with the Habs - the Habs can't handle that combination of brut force big body play the puck in the corners/along the boards (in u'r face crash & bang style) with high octane offense and speed.

The Habs can avoid Lucic & he becomes a mere irritant like an insect, the Habs however, have no answer for Simmonds. The latter has the work ethic to always do something on a given shift.

Unless they play Boston in the ECF, the Flyers are likely headed to the finals.

Stop it. We know you love the Flyers, but they're still only tied in their current series. They're a far from perfect team.

It's about matchups, dude. Perfection, or lack thereof, is irrelevant. Our good matchups are TB, Detroit, Pens, NYR and Boston.

Would be more entertaining to play Bruins, but have a better chance vs Wings. So hope it is the Bruins.

It's not all matchups. Especially with a team like the Flyers, who have very very questionable goaltending, there's a solid 30% chance that they would completely choke away the series, even if they were facing off against Buffalo. I'd still bet against them in a series against any of Boston, Pittsburgh, or even us.

Based just on the above you really should never bet on hockey. For your own god. Anyway, I cannot waste any more brain cells on this.
