Would you dangle Sergachev for Duchene?

Lots of talk about the Avs blowing things up.

It's been discussed before, but do you dangle Sergachev in a package for Duchene?
 
Yes - this is the year to go for it, too many chips are falling into place and too many bounces going the Habs way, and just about every move MT makes has him smelling like a rose.
A top-3 C of Galchenyuk-Duchene-Danault puts the Habs in a position to compete with Pens, Caps down the middle - even though I'd prefer if Duchene was physically bigger. Talent is talent at the end of the day.
 
Agree. At some point this team needs to fill the position that they have been unable to fill for DECADES.
 
Have read this a few times over the past few months and heard it by a few on NHL radio & even McGuire mentioned it the other day. Many in the NHL believe Duchene will excel when he's not expected to be the go to guy but a spoke on the wheel - which is what he'd be in Mtl with Galchenyuk being the go to #1
 
Duchene's speed fits perfectly with our team...

How's he on the defensive end (will he enrage Therrien with his defensive play).....gotta ask, because we all know our coach.
 
No. Duchene is a 60 point guy now. If im giving up sergachev i want an elite talent back. (Note im willing to add to sergachev to get elite talent).

Bruins are refusing to give carlo for landeskog. Landeskog is also a 60 point guy.

Sergachev is better than carlo

it would hurt because the raw talent of this kid is tremendous but Duchene would set us up at center for a long time

I don't care about 5 or 6 years from now. If Duchene can help us win a Cup now then it's a good trade because Sergachev can't help us until at least next season and probably not even then. I'm fed up hearing about how great this team is going to be five years from now. We thought Komisarek was going to be "really good" too, once upon a time. Duchene is a 60 point guy right now despite being on a crap team. Why is this even a question? Do it, FFS! I don't care how much of our future we have to mortgage, just give me the damn Cup now.

If he could put us over the top fine, but in the end, we know there is no way Bergevin trades a dman who is there to take over for Markov for a forward.

totally agreed , not for MD

It will cost you the rooshky plus 2 other significant pieces, plus its still not enough .

We need Webers LH top pair partner , we are dreaming if Nate or Emelin is the answer .

We need 1 more legit top winger on the top 6 .

Sure MD is solid but not for MS.

He'll be 26 on Monday.

My issue with that is this... he is what he is at this point. I expect him to stay around the same 60 point mark, and he won't drop off for a while; but i don't expect him to become an elite 1.0 PPG player either.

Based on Werenski and Provorov, how long do you think it will be before Sergachev is making an impact?
