Drouin is good but he will not be the saver that some were looking for, i think he is better as winger. We still didn't solve no1 C issue.
He's playing with crap. Yes, I mean Max. 4 goals in his last 27 games. Captain, huh?
Does it really matter? We can all see that this team just lacks talent throughout the lineup. The effort is there . . . the talent is not.
As mentioned we have kicked that patch me up can down the road for a decade , it's finally reached the end of the road .
At some point it was going to catch up with us , I think it's this year .
That's right the pretty boy we are going to extend to another 6-8 years so we can finally start the forced rebuild 10 years too late .

Never thought MB would extend him, I’ve always believed the Habs love his present contract ($/production on an offensively challenged team) more than the player himself, if that makes any sense.
If you aren't going to extend him , make the move now . You will get a good deal as he brings no off ice issues , baggage , and on the right team he will produce his 30 plus goals .
You can't let this shit go in deep next year then you have no choice to cave .

I expect Max to be dealt at deadline or at the draft.
At what point does Julien decide to give Chucky a real shot at #2 C? We need offense and we're letting one of our most talented players rot on the 3rd/4th line.

Beside on the faceoff (And I do not have last night stats on this on hand) he has been our best center this season so far. I see no issues with him at center. Distributes the puck well, skates well and also responsible defencively. Even last night, he often came back to back check and help the defence, something Galchenyuk can't do.
I'd say that right now, the center position is not our worst problem by a long shot. The Dcorp who simply can't get out of their zone unless it's through dump by the board is more pressing issue.
I think the best part of that plan would be downgrading Plekanec...I can't stand watching this guy avoid contact like the plague and taking his shots from the boards anymore.
