OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I don't know about the SP being god awful.

Garcia was great, if you are expecting more than that from Jaime, then there is something wrong with you.

Stroman, Sanchez and Estrada were good too IMO, just plagued by one horrendous inning ( less we forget this was vs NYY too) and in Sanchez's case Gibby probably stuck with him too long and let him run right out of gas.

Ironically i think the worst SP effort was last night from Happ vs CWS, which oddly has led to the only SP win.

Diaz left game with back spasms, no word if they'll need to DL him or call up Danny Espinosa, but i'd expect a Yangervis/Gift MI tonight.

eh, our starters have average only 5.5ip per start and have a 4.81era and 5.16fip. they've been worth 0war so far. that's pretty terrible.

"Classic Jonas" line right here.

The season-opening series against the #Yankees was the 2nd most watched opening series on #Sportsnet, marking an increase of 23% over 2017.
The series drew an avg audience of 975,000 throughout the long weekend.
Even more impressive, the 1pm Sunday game drew over 1 million people

All the new guys seem to handle a bat, like its not a club. All the outgoing guys, Goins etc... looked like they were handling a heavy golf club up there. I like all the new guys. Are they great players? No, but lots of Kapanen and Johnsson I see in them. None of them look as bad as Brown or Hyman with the bat.

I actually see what Shatkins is trying to develop here, a faster build clone of the Cleveland build. I think its smart. The guys brought in, are on short term contracts and might bring about a Wild Card if a lot of things go right.

I want a World Series like most here. The old nucleus, imo, time, was our first trip to the ALCS against Kansas City. Ryan Goins blew that silly catch, which blew Price's confidence.

If we had closed out that game, we would have won the World Series. That was our peak.

Charlie Blackmon extends for 6/108 with the Rockies.

Charlie, is one year younger than Josh Donaldson.

This might not be a terrible template for what kind of contract Josh gets. Probably heavy by 1 year, but light on the dollars. If you squint you can see 5/100 looking somewhat fair for both.

I dunno, maybe it's the 10-15 years experience I have reading teederese, but that post made perfect sense to me.

It's fair to consider Smoak a Shatkins guy considering they were the ones that gave him an extension and everyday PA while everyone else in the city wanted them crucified for even considering the notion of bringing him back as a platoon bat.

Shit, teeds almost has me wanting to follow the Jays this year.

His nonsense and enthusiasm has you hooked eh.

It's one thing with hockey of which he knows the sport. He admittedly knows very little about baseball yet still drones on with nonsensical rambling.

I like Gibbons too, but to think he's the reason for any major success or fail of the Jays is not correct.

You very arrogantly try to pass yourself off as an expert and everyone else an idiot, more in this thread than anywhere else.

Try to cool your replies somewhat.
