Re: 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread

I don't think they can go to Vokoun and despite his shortcomings, I don't think Pittsburgh has so little confidence in Fleury that they'll start the rookie backup...

Re: Around The League - 2014 Playoffs

There's Reimer, yeah. Miller might be available if St. Louis can't/doesn't re-sign him. Jonas Hiller won't be in Anaheim next year. Those would be the three main targets if I'm Pittsburgh, unless...

Re: Around The League - 2014 Playoffs

Fleury is suffering from Lalime-itis, just ten times worst.

Even if Pittsburgh doesn't get bounced in the first round this year, I don't see how they don't buy him out and try to find a better...

Re: Around The League - 2014 Playoffs

We swept Tampa Bay just last night and when we were up 3-1 in the third, they were dominating us as well.

Sometimes teams just take their foot off the pedal and get complacent. It happens....

Re: Around The League - 2014 Playoffs

Hiller stumbled at the end of the season while Andersen was doing well.

Personally, I'd play John Gibson before both of 'em.

Re: Around The League - 2014 Playoffs

Nah, Pittsburgh is good, they're just playing with a complete dud as their goalie. Fleury is a mental midget. His picture is in the dictionary when you look up the definition.

Sticky: Re: Les Habitants Prospects Thread

Rick Springhetti ‏Habs prospect Z.Fucale does not get the start in nets for Halifax tonight as they take on Val d'Or.

Fucale has had a very tough time against Val d'Or these playoffs.

    Oh Jesus.

The "Gomez > Crosby" person is back.

Can you guys stop quoting her now, so that I'm not subjugated to the posts?

Good: Players can get some much needed rest. Especially Prust. He can't shoot.

Watch the next Minny - Colorado game.*He has a really, really hard time moving.
  13. Re: Which team you rather face in next round? Wings or Bruins?

Detroit, if for no other reason then just being tired of always playing Bawstun.

    Re: Vanek Discussion

The problem with Heatley is that he just can't skate anymore. He still has the skill to finish, but on a team that's speed-centered, I'm not sure how Heatley fits.

Would I take him at $4M? No, but...

Re: 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread

Avs are played unsustainable hockey all year. High shooting % and elite goaltending.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they miss the playoffs by a wide margin next year.

Re: Around The League - 2014 Playoffs

He is a terrible coach and he was outcoached. To his credit, he & the rest of the coaches have stepped it up so far these playoffs.

    Also, good job deflecting.

What a great pace in Colorado - Minnesota. Just a matter of time before Minny gets one unless Colorado gets a fluke.

MacKinnon's 18 & seems to have no problem playing on the wing. He will be center eventually - heck, it might even be starting next year if Stastny leaves.

Galchenyuk, however, doesn't play well at...

    Re: 2014 NHL Draft

I like Jack Dougherty as well, although my reasoning is a little screwy: It's because he's going to the University of Wisconsin.

Edit: That said, if we're picking in the 20-21 range, (I don't know...
