Re: Around The League: 2014 - 2015 Season

Because the quoted post was about Backstrom reaching 500 points, with Toews being used as a comparison.

And my whole point is that points != better player.

I would take Toews over any player in...

The sound you're hearing is the sound of the Bruins falling down the standings. Especially if he ends up needing surgery.

Re: Around The League: 2014 - 2015 Season

Because just like your boy Kopitar, he's a dominant 200 foot 5 on 5 player. He's a much, much better hockey player than Backstrom.

    Also,

    445 points in 489 games, 0.91PPG

Re: Around The League: 2014 - 2015 Season

    I... don't understand.

Coyle's coming off a 30 point (in 70 games) season, Granlund a 41 point (in 63 games) season, but Granlund doesn't get his money right away?

    I'm confused.

    Latendresse was definitely rushed.

He got way too much way too quickly and became more interested in being a Quebécois pop icon than an NHLer. He also never truly learn how to work up the latter...

    I would too.

Edmonton wants defense, though. While their center position is a gongshow, it'd be hard to trade DD there unless he's in addition to someone like Emelin/Tinordi/Beaulieu going there....
