Re: Around The League: 2014 - 2015 Season

If Lucic could stop playing like his jimmies were rustled every game, he'd be really good. But running around like a whiny brat every game makes him counter productive.

Sticky: Re: Habs News & Notes: 2014-15 Season

His contract is the only reason he was traded for.

Whether he's good or not is only relevant if our brilliant coach is trying to have his new Douglas Murray.

  4. Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2014 - 2015 NHL Season

The same Sam Gagner who never hit 50 points once in his career and makes $4.8M per year compared to DD's $3.5M?

Bad comparison. Gagner was traded for Teddy Purcell because his contract is pretty...

Re: OT: Tennis anyone? Raonic, Bouchard, The Majors, etc.

My thing with Nadal is that while he's one of the best of all time, he's not better than Federer because he didn't exude the same greatness when not on clay. Hands down, bar none, best clay player...

Sticky: Re: Habs News & Notes: 2014-15 Season

If they put Allen in Hamilton, his caphit remaining on Montreal will only be 0.1667 higher than Bourque's and we got rid of next year's deal for Bourque. Barely noticeable.

Sticky: Re: Habs News & Notes: 2014-15 Season

I don't mind the trade at all, in fact I particularly like it because it creates capspace for next year while giving us defensive depth.

But adding Allen over Beaulieu gives us the oldest &...
  8. Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2014 - 2015 NHL Season

I don't mind moving DD, in fact it's probably something that will need to be done at some point, but I always found it laughable that people here wanted to get rid of Desharnais for nothing. Finding...

Markov, like Saku & probably Pleks, will never make the HHOF and will never have their numbers retired by the Canadiens. But they will receive well-deserved recognition from the organization once...

  11. Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2014 - 2015 NHL Season

Only if Price plays like he did against Bawstun and steals some games. Otherwise, no. Just like Saku, it's not DD's fault he's being used as the #1 center. The organization drafted their #1 center of...

    Re: OT: CFL Thread

I want to see Crompton with a full training camp with a good OC and head coach before judging him. I'm totally convinced he's the guy for the Als, but he's better than Marsh/Brink.

    I'd like to see...

Sad news. Bad day to be a long-time hockey coach.
  14. Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2014 - 2015 NHL Season

For what he is, which is a second line center miscast as a #1, all the while getting paid $3.5M, 52 points is a fine season indeed.

Standards to which the fans hold their players vary from each...

    I think so.

He was on pace to put up 40 points as a 3rd/4th line center his first season here.
  17. Re: The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Game 22 - Habs vs Bruins

With Fleury in net? The second coming of Patrick Lalime?

I'd be surprised if they even made it past the second round.

And should the Habs play them, I'd favor the Habs. Fleury is just waiting...

I'm starting to wonder if Hudon won't be the first one called up if a top-9 spot becomes available via injury.
  19. Re: The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Game 22 - Habs vs Bruins

I want to win the division really, really badly so that Tampa & Bawstun face off in the first round.

Tampa is the only team that would worry me in the conference.

    (All assuming Carey's healthy)

Hamilton's playing good, but Christ the Als just love shooting themselves in the foot.

The amount of missed tackles is infuriating.
