Re: Around The League: 2014 - 2015 Season

This isn't the best of examples. It's not like they pulled that off on the Islanders or the Habs, it was against the Coyotes.

Pittsburgh is first round fodder, especially with that choke artist...

Neuvirth - I would, but he won't come cheap.
Enroth - This would probably be my #1 option
Emery - No thanks, wouldn't want him for free.
    Fasth - Same
    Niemi - No thanks
    Harding - No thanks

Denver's up 4-1 on Boston College halfway through the third. Looks like the conclusion of Didier's college career will continue a little longer.

Whoever our backup is next year, he needs to be making league minimum or very close to it.

If you're going to have a backup playing 15 games all year, he can't be making $1M+.

And just like that, Pittsburgh is up 3-1. Crosby with a 3 point game.

Excluding lottery picks, the same applies for almost every other franchise. It's not a coincidence that the majority of top scorers in the NHL are early first round picks.

    lol

Man, Pittsburgh is so lucky they have less than 10 games left. They're terrible right now and even though they have one of the easiest schedules remaining, they're getting in the playoffs...

Letang got hit into the boards by Doan and had to be helped off the ice.

One other "must" that would have to be included is not blowing our wads on this UFA crop. We're in a good spot with our cap, even though we have some players (Eller, Emelin, PAP) earning too much for...

No chance he'll still be there late 1st. There's a lot of rankings that have him as a top-10 pick, which I don't agree with.

You know, I was all but convinced Toronto & Buffalo iced the worst defense in the NHL, but I think Philly has 'em both beat. You can argue they have 6 AHL d-men playing today.

Me too. I think Florida only gave up a 4th for him - meanwhile we give up a 5th for Flynn.

Jeremy Morin was another player that I wanted from Chicago.

I'm not sure he has $1M in total earnings during his pro career. This is the first season he's making a real NHL salary.
