One of two possibilities there if that's correct. 1) He, like you, assumes it to be correct without needing the math. It just makes ****ing sense that usage is important. or 2) He has a full time...

    Re: 2018 NHL Draft Thread

Dermott was 5'11 197 at the draft combine, Sandin 5'11 186

Bigger sure. Much bigger though? Nah. Dermott is 208 now though apparently. Sandin probably hits 5'11 200ish by the time he's league...

    Re: 2018 NHL Draft Thread

    Yep.

Dermott was an older birthday at the draft (4 months older) and had put up a .74ppg in his pre draft season. Sandin put up .88 this season. Drawing a lot of comparisons to Dermott, but he...

Yeah, 2 guys slid to Detroit that probably shouldn't have been there.

    Great 1st round for them.

    Re: 2018 NHL Draft Thread

Actually kind of like this pick.

Ridiculously young draftee (isn't even 18 yet) and put up similarish numbers to what Cale Makar put up at the same actual age. RHD.

    I tend to dislike drafting...

I completely expect it, for another pick in the 70's-80's and he'll move into the low 30's, where he'll end up picking.

    Re: 2018 NHL Draft Thread

Yep, this already smells like 2015 again, and I'd be shocked if a single unskilled defender gets picked. Between 2016-2017, we drafted at least a half dozen big defenders with no hands.

So I think we can just about say with decent likelihood that Dubas ran the draft strategy in our excellent draft a few years ago.

LHD just under a PPG in the OHL as an early birthday draftee (just turned 18 in March).

Not familiar with him, but on the surface I wouldn't hate it at all.
