Bulldogs shutout 3-0 by Marlies

With goals in each period, the Toronto Marlies handed the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs a 3-0 defeat on Saturday afternoon at the Ricoh Coliseum. For the Bulldogs it was their first loss in five games and ended their five-game road winning streak. The loss left Hamilton's American Hockey League record at 23-20-1-5.

Toronto opened the scoring at 16:45 of the first period when Jeremy Williams potted his 13th goal of the campaign. Derrick Walser extended Toronto's lead with a goal on a 5-on-3 power play at 18:16 of the middle stanza. It was Walser’s 12th goal of the season.

Ben Ondrus completed the scoring with his ninth tally of the season at the 15:41 mark of the third period.

Hamilton netminder Jaroslav Halak made 28 saves on 31 shots while Scott Clemmensen turned aside all 29 Hamilton shots.
The Bulldogs went 0-for-3 on the power play, while the Marlies were 2-for-6 with the man advantage.

Hamilton forward Kyle Chipchura and defenceman Ryan O'Byrne each played in their 100th career AHL games in the contest.
The defending Calder Cup champion Hamilton Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. against the Toronto Marlies at Copps Coliseum.

Great game by the dogs tonight. Grabovsky with 3 goals and 1 assist, D'Agostini with 1G2A and Mathieu Carle with 2 goals as they defeat the Marlies 7-4.

Was it Grabo's first game since coming back from injury?

Grabovski is a highly skilled forward no doubt. It is his size that is questionable. Too easily knocked off the puck.
