Nikita Scherbak thinks he's a leader because he can tell the young ones where the bathroom is. Even in hockey circles, the guy seems ultra-dumb.
Some GMs get you to the playoffs and some GMs get you through the playoffs.

The fact that Lapointe is preaching patience to a guy in his 4th development camp is definitely not a success story...

    He's approaching bust category...

Which is funny. He seemed pretty smart to me. Anyone who can learn English at 16/17 years old and speak it fluently so quickly has to have some brains.

Evaluating what u have now is imperative, either Scherbak just needs further seasoning and will pan out or needs to be flipped now like David Rundblad for a Kyle Turris type.

Yes he needs further seasoning but he made a big jump between his 19 and 20 year old seasons

People mature at different levels. If he doesn't make the team by next season though you have to trade him off.

With a late birthday. He needs time to develop. He had a very solid first game where he scored. He's got some really good NHL tools. I think he just needs more seasoning. Hopefully he gets 5-10 this season with the Habs.

Looks like Joni Ikonen has left Frolunda and will play for KalPa in Finland next season.

Apparently he demanded a spot on the main team or something.

Sounds like Juolevi will go back to Europe for the year if he doesn't make the Canucks.

Mete (who outplayed Juolevi last year anyway) will be the undisputed #1 D in London.
