Jake Evans named to Spengler Cup team. Will make me more interested in that.

Scherbak shouldn't be in the AHL anymore.

Bring him up and play him on any line except the 4th.

I was reading through The Athletic and came across a Corey Pronman interview with our NCAA scout Dave Starman.

Here's what he had to say about Ryan Poehling:

Pronman: One guy you probably know very well is Montreal prospect and first-round pick Ryan Poehling. He blew people away at the summer camp. What was it about Poehling that made you and other people in the Montreal organization want to fight for that guy?

Starman: Trevor Timmins (Montreal's assistant general manager responsible for overseeing amateur scouting) was instrumental in us getting Ryan Poehling. He identified a lot of things in Ryan that we really liked. Our staff did a lot of work going to see Ryan. I had very little to do with him being drafted other than feeding in reports of what I thought of him. The one thing for me that stands out with Ryan is his ability to pass the puck. I call it stick radar. He has got an uncanny ability to be anywhere on the ice, take a quick look and put a really good pass from 5 feet, 10 feet or 30 feet tape to tape or into an area where someone can skate into it. He surprises guys when pucks get to them. He also plays really hard. He’s a really talented player who plays really hard. You combine all that with the fact he’s a pretty good skater — mind you everyone’s skating can be better — but he’s a pretty good skater and his faceoff work and his IQ in the defensive zone, there’s just a ton to like.

Need to get rid of the management before these guys start regressing like all the others. They'll beat the offense right out of them.

We didn't. They are AHL veterans.

Yes and that could be a criticism in it's self. The two guys we are sending to the all star game are AHL veterans that will never be regulars in the NHL. Where are the prospects?
