It wasn't by taking the high road.

I think the President of the USA should get their own harem (or male version if the President is female). When dealing with the delicacies of office and dangers of the world, the President should be as calm as possible. If that takes more than one relation then so be it.

Lindsey Graham blasts the White House on immigration, “As long as Stephen Miller is in charge of negotiating immigration, we're going nowhere. He’s been an outlier for years."

They probably just should have done a show and tell session on Fox & Friends instead of speaking to him directly. Trump just would have repeated what he heard as the greatest idea ever.

It's like negotiating with a ****ing toddler.

Dems gave Trump 3 weeks in return for promise of a vote on DACA; also got 6 years of CHIP funding.

Yuge if this becomes a trend.

To give a bit of context:

    - The constitution that the Penn Supreme is claiming the 2011 law violates is the Pennsylvania Constitution, not the US constitution (which it may violate as well but they didn't rule on that). Which means that this decision can not be appealed at the federal level. It's a done deal.

    - Currently the Republicans hold 13 of the 18 congressional seats in Penn, despite the popular vote counts being damn near a dead head (Trump won the state by 44,000 votes out of 5.9 million votes cast)

1 step closer to bringing back those coal jobs he promised.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/22/trum...l-imports.html

President Donald Trump has approved tariffs on imported solar cells and certain washing machines, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer announced Monday.

The protective tariffs on both kinds of imports would initially kick in at a higher rate in the first year, then decrease in subsequent years. For the first year, a 30 percent tariff would be applied to imported solar modules and cells.

Lighthizer's office said that the trade representative made recommendations to the president based on the findings of the independent, bipartisan U.S. International Trade Commission.

The agency had been asked to look into whether foreign imports of washing machines and solar cells/modules were causing "serious injury to domestic manufacturers."

"The President's action makes clear again that the Trump Administration will always defend American workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses in this regard," Lighthizer said in a statement.

Others, however suggested that the move would be bad for the U.S. economy.

Mike Bloomberg, the billionaire former mayor of New York City, said in a post on Twitter that "[t]axing solar panels up to 30% will destroy U.S. jobs, raise Americans' electric bills and hurt our environment. Congress should stand up for American workers and consumers and overturn the administration's harmful decision."
Nah, can't put tariffs on all the chemicals and bullshit imported from China...had to pick renewable energy.

But as usual, the Combover Caligula is heading in the wrong direction

    https://www.theguardian.com/business...climate-change

Lloyd’s of London, the world’s oldest insurance market, has become the latest financial firm to announce that it plans to stop investing in coal companies.

Lloyd’s will start to exclude coal from its investment strategy from 1 April. The definition of what is a coal company and the criteria for divestment will be set over the coming months.

The firm has long been vocal about the need to battle climate change, with insurance one of the worst affected industries by hurricanes, wildfires and flooding in recent years.

The insurance market decided last month to implement a coal exclusion policy as part of a responsible investment strategy for the central mutual fund that sits behind every insurance policy written by the Lloyd’s market.

This is after numerous major international banks have said that their not really horny about investing in any hydro carbon projects, with coal being at the bottom of the totem poll.

The Trump economy kids. We haven't see the effects yet but we will.
