Isn't that more of an indictment on the Democratic party? People can blame whatever they want but the fact is Hillary couldn't beat a flawed candidate because she was flawed herself.
As for others, the Democrats are pushing further and further left which is a turnoff to many people. To you the lesser of two evils is the democrats, to others the lesser of two evils is GOP. The real issue in the voting system are those in the middle. They're the ones who actually elect people as each party doesn't have enough base to win on their own. The people in the middle tend to flip back and forth between the two because neither achieves what independents would like. It's why I've been whinging for a third, more centrist, party for bloody years.
