OT: Tennis anyone?

Re: OT: Milos Raonic - What's your take Krusty?

His game may have improved but he's still a one-dimensional type of player. I can't picture him as a top player. You need more than a serve to win a slam imo.

Before he can win a slam he needs to win decent ATP tourny's first but he's young. I am not sure where the top 3 were at 21 but I don't recall people saying Djokovic would be a #1 one day when he was coming up let alone be as dominant, so fast in over-taking Nadal & Federer.

Personally I don't think he will ever be #1 but when the top 3 fade into retirement maybe Milos moves into the top 5 or something?

Re: OT: Milos Raonic - What's your take Krusty?

So now we are to compare PK (team sport) and Raonic (individual sport)? :lol

PK Subban doesn't think he's playing a team sport... pun was intended. But you need to adjust to second level humour...

PK's only mistake in your case is that he doesn't speak French. If he sounded like Mickey Ribs or dearest GL there would be no issue here about his performance on the ice.

Second level humour? Tu es lamentable! :lol

I had been reading about Djokovic and Murray for years now on tennis boards; no surprise at how they are doing now. Only both had greatly improved on their fitness (especially Djokovic who used to quit matchs due to breathing issues and other shenanigans. Can't stand that guy...).

Again, top five or #1, for Raonic (born in 1990)? Honestly I don't see it quite yet.

Raonic is slow; needs to work on his movement and strategy. Once there is a rally you are holding your breath with this guy and hoping he won't net the ball or put it too long. He needs to improve his volleying as well.

And he's not that much younger than Murray (born in 87), Djokovic (born in 87) who will be around for a while. Del Potro (born in 1988), Marin Cilic (born in 1988); will be around too; both are very talented. There will be others coming up... I don't follow the juniors at all to make predictions there.

But I can understand you buying into the hype placed on him: Canadian (and US to a certain extent) media is unbelieveable for this! I think it's too soon. Let's let the guy develop; he has too much pressure set on him already and that may stunt his development.

HOWEVER, i Raonic does make the top 5 it would be great for Canadian tennis. Just a little skeptic at this point. I've just seen more talented players than Raonic not pan out (i.e. Gasquet, Paul Henri Matthieu)

Well if he learned some French, I think all would be possible. :lol

Re: OT: Milos Raonic - What's your take Krusty?

Re: OT: Milos Raonic - What's your take Krusty?

I don't think he knows where Tachereau Blvd. is.

Re: OT: Milos Raonic - What's your take Krusty?

Rou, if you are a highly paid athlete, were famous and could get all the tang you wanted, wouldn't you hang out at those bars too?

Well, he knows because with his hyperactive attitude, he probably told the GPS he was right and ended up losing his way instead of driving to the Brossard facilities.

I was talking about Milos

Comment?

Re: OT: Milos Raonic - What's your take Krusty?

You know who I hate in the hockey world, for real, XPo? Daniel Brière. Him I hate. With a passion. A true one.
