Ok.....DD and Gally were the only 2 players that went head first into the corners for pucks in all 7 games.

DD is surprising....

Good hustle....energy....he has a big HEART

With his contract we are getting EXCELLENT return. Can't have a bunch of DD's, but this one is ok
 
Normally his story should be a good one. Sent down to the ECHL for being too small. His reaction? Made himself the best rookie , top player in the regular season and playoffs all in one year. Excelled in the AHL, made himself a decent NHLer and won himself a contract that should set him up for life financially.

What is there to hate?
 
The things with DD is that he is sneaky...he can skate though bigger players easily.....

I hope his BFF uses his body more in round 3 along the boards
 
That was a sweet feed to Patches on the second goal. If that pass is even a touch off, Rask gets over and makes the save.
 
Yup, DD was flying out there. He's not a true #1 centre in the sense we think, but he was moving all over the ice tonight. No goals, but a beauty turnover/assist.

DD stole the puck from 2 Bruins players (i think Bergeron was one of them).

And Gally hustled hard to keep it in their zone

LOL please! When you have your "Defensive specialist" Scoring more SHG than DD has PP goals over the same time span, I would hardly say that MT is using DD "correctly"

I give up on this topic... obviously neither of us is going to convince the other.

But besides all that we both kbow dd will be on the roster in october no matter what either of us says now.

You just got through saying a 35+ point player is a "damn good" player in the NHL and Tlusty was on 33 point production pace with Winnipeg which would at least make him a "good" player in your scale and you say he failed miserably? Can't have it both ways Ben.

Ive got him at 8 points in 24 games... a 27 point pace.
