Habs sign Tom Gilbert to two-year, $5.6 million deal

I know Habsy wanted him like 3 years ago. i guess we want more offense from our blueline?

yeah, three years ago. I don't like this deal right now. He skates very well but he's lost some lateral movement.
 
He's a good steady dman that can provide some offense.

In essence he's your typical #3 dman who can do a bit of everything.

He's an upgrade on Gorges in terms of offense, mobility, size and being able to play bigger minutes
