Leafs/Habs/Sens 2014-15

I wanted to kill my friend that was beside me. My friend being a scum habs fan he is jumped for joy as i watched my Leafs pick an unkown at the time Morgan Rielly.

I was soooo pissed that day. Doesn't look so bad now, but i still would prefer Galchenyuk.

Still bugs me to this day. How can this not be a challenge worthy play...

I love that this still bugs you. It was a regular season game 2 seasons ago.

Terrible call, but I can't believe it still bugs you so much.

You're right though... Rielly looks good too.

Senators? Meh. They are small yappy dogs... the owner, the team, and the oh-so insecure fan base.

I'm using Zone-Adjusted 5v5 corsi CLOSE for percentage here for now. It is not adjusted for quality of cometition or quality of teammate.

I bet... I was 100% invested in AG heading into that draft. I had no back up player. I literally jumped when they announced his name.

So far this year he's looked like a stud. He's scored pretty goals and gritty goals already. I was cautiously optimistic that he's score 60 points this year but I'm already starting to think 70 is reasonable.

We have to really thank the Columbus Blue Jackets for Galchenyuk. What a bunch of ****ing morons.

Yup. Thanks!

I just hope that we don't delay too long at moving him back to the middle that we lose our chance to.

Yeah, Galchenyuk was the guy I wanted too going in to that draft. I had never even heard of Morgan Rielly at the time.

I was disappointed at first, but when I read up on Rielly after we selected him, I ended up pretty happy with the pick.

I'm thinking Galchenyuk, Rielly, Trouba, Teravainen and Forsberg are going to be the steals of that draft.

I'm also thinking I may have been wrong about Tanner Pearson. After being passed over in the draft twice I thought he was a wasted pick at #30 but he's starting to look pretty good. It's awful early mind you.

I'll never be able to think of Filip Forsberg without remembering how teeder spent the weeks leading up to the draft loudly and repeatedly insisting that Forsberg was going to be selected first overall, because his sources said so.

Having posted on the same board as blacksheep for years, I'm actually curious what happens next, since I've never seen him admit being wrong or having made a factual error in his post, no matter how blatant it is. So, how does he follow up that post? There's only three possibilities that I can think of. The least likely possibility is this:

1) He admits that he forgot about 2012 Norris trophy winning, and perennial defensive scoring leader Erik Karlsson when he made that post.

...but then I'm not sure which of these two options he'll go for.

2) He disappears from this thread, until his post is at least a few pages back, and he's confident he won't have to address it anymore.
3) Having dug his hole, he makes some half-assed attempt to argue that Phaneuf is a better defender than Karlsson. Perhaps by playing around with the definition of "defender".
BUMP.

I miss Teeds

Hanging around Habs fans for over a decade is like being married ... always there to throw the misdeeds in your face, no matter how long ago.

Then he falls to 11th. It would have been one thing if he went 2nd, 3rd or even 6th... but 11th? Hahahaaha
