Sabres to sign BU’s Evan Rodrigues

The Buffalo Sabres could have a hint of Boston University next season.

According to multiple reports Tuesday night, the Sabres are going to sign Boston University forward Evan Rodrigues.

Rodrigues was a linemate of Jack Eichel’s with the Terriers, scoring 21 goals and 40 assists in 41 games this season. He ranked second in the nation in points.

A native of Etobicoke, Ont., Rodrigues helped lead Boston to the NCAA’s Frozen Four final before losing to Providence in the championship game.

Like this move. Seems like a move to entice Eichel a bit, however his stats are pretty good and I think he would help Rochester out a lot.
 
Bob McKenzie: Robin Lehner heading to BUF. Sounds like Lehner and Legwand to BUF for 21st pick. Pending trade call. Not official yet.
 
To Buffalo: Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn

To Colorado: Nikita Zadorov, Mikhail Grigorenko, J.T. Compher, No. 31 pick (2015 draft)
 
Couldn't be happier for the ROR trade. Still disappointed about the Lehner trade but adding Eichel makes up for it
 
Bob McKenzie: UFA D Cody Franson is currently in BUF and expected to finalize on Thursday a two-year contract. AAV is expected to be around $3.3M.
