As part of the extension NMC was grandfathered in to his existing contract - already in place.

Most fans care about the logo on the front of the jersey, not the player's name on the back of it. If the Habs win more after a Price trade - that's a whole other matter - the fans will be happy.

Ah the old logo in the front aegument. Trading popular players hasn't worked out for us lately now has it.
 
The dumbest contract ever......

How do you throw 10.5M at a 30-year old goalie with knee issues...a goalie that has been injured almost every season he's played in this league.

and for 8 years...

This moves smells Molson: he knows Price can singlehandedly get them into playoffs in most years, and Molson wants the playoff revenues....rebuilding the proper way is not an option
