OT: Soccer Thread

Sweden needs some killer instinct right now. Way too slow on the counter.

Mexico beat germany because the Germans had to legitimately fear Mexico scoring on their breakouts.
 
First time Germany has won a World Cup game, after being behind at the half, since 1974.... and that was against Sweden as well.
 
Fair result, through maybe a little cruel for the Swedes.

Germany lacks an edge. I can’t believe Gomez is on the field.

I’ll judge when they have tougher opponents who play more conservatively. Kudos to Tunisia for not parking the bus, but they were totally overrun. It was a strange way to play the game, they got into a track meet with gazelles.

Uruguay beats russia 3-0 and finishes the group stage without giving up a goal.

Either Group A is really really weak, or Uruguay is a good team.
