Interesting listening to Serge Savard talk about how he & Lemaire had to fly to NYC and plead with Brian Bellows to give Mtl a chance for the remainder of his contract. Bellows per Savard wasn’t willing to come to Mtl as part of the deal.

No point in canning them two months ago. Scouts almost always work on one year contracts and they don't change organizations mid-year.

Scouts usually get fired (or are simply told their contracts aren't renewed) when the final reports are done and they get hired after the draft by other organizations. Same thing for scouts coming from Junior leagues.
