2016 NHL Entry Draft Discussion

Yeah, it would have been more exciting to see some trades. But in retrospect, they may be waiting for the other shoe to drop on Stamkos before they make more deals. Tyler Bozak's future, for example, seems like it'd be directly tied to that. If we sign Stamkos, he's entirely expendable. But if we don't and Babcock's determined to play Nylander on the wing (which is what he said on the radio last night), then we still do sort of need Bozak.

And if you were really counting on us trading up in this draft, you were just setting yourself up for disappointment.
 
Big stats, but he's another guy that was passed over in last year's draft.

He's also 20 years old, as of the beginning of May.

Still, if you consider this past season his "post-draft year", those are pretty decent numbers.
