Habs trade PK Subban to Predators for Shea Weber

Habitant87 is going "full Trump" on us here.

Losing an argument, so he's resorting to penis jokes.

Hmmm weren't u the one who said all MLB teams now run their organization via analytics? Red Sox Owner last spring said his teams done making decisions using analytics, there was a report on WFAN this morning 10-plus teams in MLB now looking at eliminating their entire analytics budget/lay off employees.

The problem with the different direction is that Bergevin did it because he doesn't like Subban as a person. he let that cloud his view on him as a player and what he brought to the organization

looking more and more like the players forced MBs hand

much like when a coach loses a room

Presumably with Price likely having final say before giving his Caesar thumbs up. As NHL radio reported the day of the trade, Price reportedly had a long conversation with Jr, before ownership okay was given to the deal.

Probably ownership trying to convince Price of why trading Subban was a good move, and not the other way around

Molson is speaker in the Senate aka a figurehead. Nero is the real power.

just like it was not MT that stopped the low 5 - it was Price telling MT to stop the low five

The problem is that there is no reason to play the comparison game...they're two very different type of dman.

MB wanted to go a different direction with his stud dman and Poile wanted to go into a different direction with his #1.

It's a matter of vision and I'm pretty sure you're of the vision that will favor Subban's style while several are of the vision that we needed more of a Weber.

I don't think one is better than the other...the debate lies in what style of play you favor.
In layman's terms... MB hated PK... and the thought of being stuck with him for years at $9M and Poile's owner/boss didn't like the way Weber's contract paid out in the final half of his ridiculous contract.

Direction had little to do with it.

Yep.....Max and Pleks seem to have been the ''leaders''

Definitely the two that blabbed to MB at the final meetings that Subban was a distraction. Let's hope they prove it so by having big years... all the way through the playoffs as well, which would be rare.

Carey's become a rodeo redneck and his fellow BC'er Weber loves country so you know they would be aligned.
