I had so many people tell me letting Lou go and going with "A Kid" was a mistake. Dubas is looking pretty darn good right now. Not sure if anyone has started their NHL Gm career with a Calder Cup win as GM and the biggest UFA signing in over a decade.
Even that sudden Mark hunter love was nonsense.(Every team wanted to speak with Dubas not Hunter).

I would absolutely LOVE to see some GM pull off this move on the Leafs. Sadly, I don't think Bergeron has the fortitude and I'm certain our guys down here in Carolina aren't quite that bold. But it's the kind of thing Lamoriello would have pulled in his prime. Maybe McPhee has the stones out in Vegas?

Same thing that happened to RNH and Hall.
Looked great until the Oilers rushed and/or ruined them. Any 19 yr old who can step into the league and score at a 50 point pace should be a lock for being a quality offensive player for the next decade. Only in Edmonton does this get ****ed up like that.

Ummm..we match any reasonable number on all of them. We match most unreasonable numbers on all of them as well. Not sure why people keep wanting or thinking down this JT revenge porn path.
The other thing of course is that only Nylander is available to have an offer sheet dropped on him at the moment. Marner and Matthews are more than likely going to get extended this summer.
