ok well I guess the 3rd year was the price we had to pay to get him out of California.

good to see us trying to add to the team for the next couple of seasons. we had to try as it will be a different world building a team around the 3 big tickets up front.

best part of this for me is that this is pretty much a lock that jvr and/or bozak are moving for a dman.

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick

Contract is too big and too long but I've always dug his game and I think he's a great replacement for hyman on the Matthews line.

They should be eating money if we take ej for those two

This is like signing Roberts. Marleau is still an impact player and adds a ton of experience.

They overpaid but it doesn't matter for the next 2 years at least.

Have to love that these guys see the Leafs as a legit place to win.

What's the scouting report on 37 year old Marleau? Haven't watched must west coast hockey as of late.

If he replaces Hyman on the first line is floor his 30 goals, IMO.
