Habs acquire David Schlemko from Golden Knights

Schlemko had 2 goals, 18 points last year. Has three more seasons left on his contract at $2.1 million/per.
 
I can honestly say I know nothing about this guy.

Second or third pairing guy? My guess would be third.
 
ASSETS:
Has decent size, reach and puck-moving skills. Is also fairly mobile and pretty solid in his own end. Limits his mistakes. Can log a lot of ice time, if need be, and can play on either side of the ice.
FLAWS:
Does not use the body a lot, which leaves him vulnerable against bigger forwards in the defensive zone. Does not wow you with any one physical or mental trait. Is a somewhat limited talent.
 
2.1 mil for 3 more years seems a lot for a bottom dmen. Couldn't we find someone on our farm team to fill that void ?

Sounds like another bottom pair guy. Didn't give up much to get him. Still need some reinforcements in the top-4
 
Bottom pairing guy who doesn't nothing really well or good. Not even a replacement for emelin. Big but not physical. Bad trade? Not really considering what we paid, but it's another plug.
 
I would have flip my 1sst pick to Vegas for Theodore and finally got the right partner for webber.
