Ryan Poehling Scouting Report

That was definitely drafting for need. Usually not a good idea.

Most lists had him in the teens (including mine).

He's good.

I just thought Tolvanen who I had at 12 would be a steal.

But honestly I like this pick and never expected him to be available.

Does he ever score a goal that isn't a tip/deflection?

Isn't 13 points in 35 games really low for a guy who was drafted on first round,? I know he is only 18 and play in NCHC but still.

Ryan Poehling's an okay, vanilla type of pick. Could be a top-6 forward, but probably is more likely to be a third line center.

Whatever. Would have prefered to trade down & accumulate picks.

No, thats in my profile.

He never SHOOTS THE GOD DAMN PUCK. He will always pass, always. Its the most infuriating thing about him.

He might shoot a rebound, but a first shot, almost never.

Youngest player in NCAA hockey.

Finished high school a year early so he could play a year of NCAA hockey with his two brothers (one was playing his last year).
