These are just speculative assets of undetermined value to the Habs future. I prefer the "asset" narrative to the more common "need" one sprouted on this board. Timmins said the same a few days ago.
Look at Sergachev. He ended up filling a need, just not the one envisioned by most fans. Instead of Markov replacement, he helped improve our top 6.
