If Veleno was consistent, I'm convinced he'd be a top line center. There are games where the skill is so apparent and others where it's just... I don'T know.
Knowing Philadelphia, I think he goes there.

Well, Hoffman is proof in the pudding. That’s Merkley’s issue, apparently.
Maybe it’s not so much character (“leadership”) rather than not being a giant arsehole.

I mean, I think this character shit is nonsense.
Players, by default, need character to make the NHL. Outside of the supremely skilled players, there needs to be insane work ethic, dedication and focus.

Yeah. There's a few outliers but most hockey players are salt of the earth types. Now that we're getting in the 3rd line C territory, character is going to be used with every pick.
