2018 NHL Entry Draft

Put injury and age aside , simply put 2 different types of 1D . In a perfect world you want both on your top pair .

PK was never going to be trusted with TC`s brass and have more the enough offensive talent without him .

Exactly. He's a high risk, high reward luxury that few teams need or can afford. Weber is the type of defenseman that not every team can afford but that every team needs. Ergo Weber is objectively a more valuable asset than Subban (who may not even be the best defenseman on his own team, let alone better than Weber)

so that means if we offered Weber back to Nashville straight up, they would do it?

A surgeon was on a talk show about injuries and Webers name came up and he mentioned there should be no issues . 8- 10 weeks in a cast followed by a specific rehab schedule .

He said a player with multiple grade 3 shoulder dislocations will probably have more issues than 6`s injury .

shut down for a bit....

Poile is gonna look bad very soon if not already for trading Seth Jones for a streaky center

Well if you were trading a Subban at a 9 million cap hit you wouldn't get a Subban in return.

Edmonton had no interest in Subban apparently because of the contract when MB was shopping him.

And that turned out to be a huge mistake for them. They'd be a hell of a lot better off with Subban than Larsson. Chiarelli is a brutal GM though. Probably worse than MB.

One is wasting price, the other is wasting McDavid, both can't build a defense, both have big slow guys signed to long term contracts, they are both among the worst GMs in the league.

?

Not really, no. Johansen's coming off a near career ending injury and had he not been injured, Nashville probably would have won the Cup. I expect him to have a better year & overall career next year. And if he doesn't recover, Poile couldn't have known what was going to happen to his leg.

I don't think many people in Nashville are sad about their top-4 of Josi-Subban & Ekholm-Ellis.

It was a perfect hockey trade where a team traded from its depth of riches for a 1C . They still have a great D and depth .

Our fools trade a young stud for a now LW and we created another hole , JD has played like shit , and lost our bargaining chip.

That's how you don't make a deal

Speaking of JD you still think TB is banging their heads on a wall that they took him over Set Jones in the draft?

Not at all . Both were rated as legit top tier prospects . TB already had Hedman and took the forward .

At least they flipped him at the right time for a potential top pair D man .

Again no one one knows what a player will do on another roster.

Except all those players who actually have to play against him and then voted him the toughest defenseman in the league to play against, and the Team Canada coaching staff who pencil him in as their #1 defenseman and don't even bother to return Subban's calls. But among butthurt Subban fanboys, yes, PK is better.

Don't be butthurt over the fact you praised the trade and stated we were all in for a cup. We measure players by what have they done for us lately, the past means shit in the present.

Weber has been exactly what was advertised on the tin since he came to the Habs. He was sorely missed this season. Take Subban out of the Preds line-up and they probably don't miss a beat. He's not even the best defenceman on his own team. Weber is the best on ours and often the only credible defenceman we've got.

Nero was all in , not us . Some of us knew we were in suckage mode and nothing these clowns do can fix this mess other than a gut job .

Subban was also the best defensemen on our team and would still be today, even with Weber in the lineup. Weber also wasn't even the best d in Nashville before he was traded.

You can't argue with people that don't like Subban. In their mind they are correct regardless of reality. They don't like him for non-hockey reasons and they have a built in rooted opinion about him. They won't change. It's best to work around them.

And we still miss the playoff with PK , its a moot point .....WE STINK IN ANY SCENARIO.

He cant fix our 1C, 2C, his top pair partner. He cant fix another top 6 scorer , bad drafts , player development , no depth , etc...

These PK debates are comical . He plays on a great team and the best TOP4 D in the league .

Any reference to us is nonsense . We are a flawed team run by circus clowns .
