Won't happen. Even if Price gets hurt, Lindgren will win Rookie of the Year.

It would in that alternate universe where the head coach and GM of the habs let a rookie play through his mistakes but in this current reality we ride shitoya to the league basement.

I've never seen a universe where the better Habs goalie gets benched in favor of the lesser one.

Didn't Condon get that chance not too long ago?

And it didn't took long for Theodore to take over.

Three Halifax Mooseheads among that group. Impressive Euro recruiting and draft manoeuvering by GM Cam Russell the last few years down here. Unfortunately they don't hang around long enough to produce a lot of championships, outside the one (Ehlers,Drouin, Mackinnon, likely Hischier left with all or some eligibility remaining).

Top 3 goalie on the board right now... debateable if he's 1,2, or 3.

Seriously, whoever is Halifax's European scout(s) needs a promotion.
Elite goaltending will hide a lot of a bad team's flaws and make them look a lot better than they truly are. That's why Carey Price is the single most important player to his team in the NHL.

My new poorly written out thoughts on this season's Montreal Canadiens.

I mean, part of it is location (like Québec) to be able to lure better players in locations that are much more attractive than, say, Val D'or or Baie Comeau, but at the same time, you still have to be able to identify & convince players to go there instead of the other big markets like Québec/Rimouski/Drummondville. They've just been hitting grand slams almost every time for close a decade, not to mention being able to trade for players like MacKinnon when he refused to play in Baie Comeau for the closest thing to nothing you could imagine.

And just think, they drafted Jack Eichel too but he obviously didn't come.
