Safe to assume they won't both be Sens next season.

Coyotes sign Oliver Ekman-Larsson to an 8 year extension. Dreger says it has an AAV of $8.25 million.

Letís not give them too much credit. Itís easy to be magnanimous when you win. Where were the ads congratulating the Penguins the last few years? That would have been impressive.

NHL ref Garrett Rank shot 83 at US open. But he was next to last, a pro shot 92. Rory McIlroy shot 80. Jason Day 79.

If you have the same memories that I have of Rank working games this season ... yeah. Quit the day job. Don't be a pro golfer or anything. Just stop butchering NHL games.

Toronto finally has a cup. The Marlies won the Calder Cup, beating the Texas Stars 6-1 to win the series 4-3. They had the best record in the AHL, finishing with 112 points, 8 more than Lehigh Valley.

Based on a quick trawl through Twitter after the game last night, that doesn't seem to have modified the "Canada needs to win the Cup" crowd in the least. Turns out they weren't talking about the Calder Cup. Who knew?

Canada has a tremendous record when it comes to winning the Grey Cup.
