Those were the days.
In fairness, he really did need meds.

How hilarious was his hatred for all things socialist and unionized....except for when it came to the teachers union? Reminded me off that Chapelle sketch - the black white supremacist.

Clayton Bigsby. That was a funny skit.

It never really stopped being hilarious that a frothing-at-the-mouth, socialist-despising, far-right, "pull yourself up from your own bootstraps" conservative owed his own living to suckling directly off the government teat, and being a dues-paying member of one of the most powerful public-sector unions in the country.

It must have taking some pretty epic cognitive dissonance not to see that contradiction.

As for how he felt about Leaf fans...like, a gang of people wearing Leaf jerseys murdering his parents in front of his eyes when he was a kid is the only way anyone could have had the pathological levels of hate for Leaf fans that he did, and not be a lunatic.

Heh. Yep, we've been hiding in plain sight all this time!

Seriously though, the hate I'm looking forward to getting doesn't usually come from level-headed opposing fans like you. It's the nuttiest, most fervent Leaf haters that usually provide the most entertainment.

"WeHave" would be an example of that kind of fan on the Hab board.

I personally don't give a darn if leaf fans gloat. Suffering 10+ years gives them the right to release that frustration. Furthermore, their team isn't just good, it's an offensive powerhouse that is always fun to watch for fans. Habs fans need to deal with the fact the Leafs organization finally got their heads out of their asses and did it right. Now we can only hope Molson buys a bloody clue because Bergevin has crushed the Habs.

Just think back to the fun all other fans had after the Kessel trade. We will enjoy this and everyone will sit and shut up.

Do they move Galchenyuk? He should be better than he's been to start the year. I thought he was developing into a really good player but it seems as though the lifestyle of a rich young hockey player may have gotten the better of his work ethic. I'm sure a team would take him but i don't know what they'd give the Habs that would help them immediately.

Well, I don't know about the shut up part. You're asking to move mountains there

I feel badly for Chucky. I don't think Bergevin likes him and I think he needs a change of scenery and a coach that'll use him to his strengths. D isn't one of them.

Moving Galchenyuk now, at the low point of his value and while he's still so young just sounds like one of those moves you'd end up regretting for years to come. Like the Leafs would've if they'd traded Kadri at the low point of his value, or like when they actually did trade Alexander Steen for a handful of magic beans.

With Nero at the helm , expect an excuse that he can't get value . It amazes me how we punish skill on this team but cater to pluggers.

Bergevin isn't even smart enough to showcase Galchenyuk before trading him. He'll let Julien leave him on the 3rd and 4th lines playing with scrubs.

We apparently have 5 good defensive dmen and arguably the best goalie on the planet. Here's a crazy idea... let's have them worry about keeping the puck out of our net. Maybe let our most (are 2nd most) talented forward worry about trying to put the puck in the other net. That's not to say he shouldn't continue to work on his defensive game, but only in Montreal is playing a perfect defensive game a matter of life and death for offensively talented players.

Not sure if anyone caught the Minny vs Chicago game. I'm questioning whether I even understand offsides with such a blatant offside leading to the game breaking goal. Chicago challenges and gets the penalty and then it's 3-1....

I was watching that game as I made a wager on Minny. It worked out well for me lol. I think the reasoning was that Seabrook? dove and ended up half-tripping Stewart? If the play was clean Minny would have ended up scoring anyway. I love it when the NHL fixes the game in my favor lol.

Sens have impressed me so far minus Karlsson. Battle of Ontario should be interesting

They're the anti-Leafs and will be a good test for us. Every play is a maze of sticks and slashes then Chabot or Hoffman or someone manufactures results.
