They shouldn't be going with Galchenyuk on the top line.

They should be going with both Galchenyuk and Drouin at Centre. Score some ****ing goals, defense be damned (and i've given him the best two defensive wingers on the team here).

    Pacioretty - Drouin - Gallagher
    Byron - Galchenyuk - Lehkonen
    Hudon - Danault - Shaw
De la Rose - Plekanec - Hemsky

That's what I'd love to see.

I think you are right, the betting line isn't really that strong for the Ducks.

That seems like a forward lineup that shouldn't really have trouble scoring.

I assume some of its been just luck in a small sample size but do you think more of a defensively-minded blueline group plays a part? That would've been my criticism of the team Bergevin put together before the year started...

We're beyond Galchenyuk at centre. MB can't risk him performing well. It will make him look worse than it already does. I'm only half serious here...

Anyways, I might watch this game tonight. My day to "sleep in" is tomorrow.

The worst nhl team shooting percentage in history is last years avs at 7.6%

The habs are hovering around 3%

Youre damn right its luck on a small sample size

They are already easing him back to centre.

He is centring the 2nd pp.

They say hes not a centre in the media
.. but the plan is clearly in place to slowly put him back there.

And when it succeeds they will proclaim themselves the geniuses who fixed the problem child.

I did acknowledge that... just wondering if you saw any other contributing factors or if you're chalking it solely up to that.

The defense could be a bit better. The passing to the slot could be more. But its mostly that right now.

It will correct itself at some point. Our issue is the serious hole we've dug. You can't ignore that regardless of how in shock you are.

I find Lekhonen is more effective on LW not sure if that driven by lack of playing time on RW or if he’s more suited for LW

Ha ha people praying for Galchenyuk's return to centre. How desperate is that? They won't put him back at centre as long as the team is giving up close to 4 goals a game. With 8 + million under the cap, buy a centre.

This is kinda what I have envisioned. Thing is, with an irresponsible Chucky at center, we may get outscored on a nightly basis...

It's not desperation for me. I've thought he should be playing centre for 2 years. He's actually been very productive at centre. Habs are always too worried about their centres being Selke candidates... let the D and Price worry about keeping the puck out of our net. We need our forwards to put the puck in the other net.

Streaks happen. Over 82 games we will likely have a streak of winning games we dont deserve too

That's why you shouldn't trust the eyeball test over stats.

Stats say that the team has bucked the odds in a big way to only have a handful of goals so far. Odds tell us that that cannot continue. Those guys who "can't finish" will soon be looking like snipers.

More of the same. Random bounce finds the net.
