He might lack hockey IQ, but he is definitely lazy...he doesn't take the extra step to win battles for pucks in our zone (as shown in OT yesterday).....he reminds me of Cammalleri, he would just wait for puck to come to him

I agree that he’s very inept at winning battles but don’t think it’s lack of effort - he’s incapable of either learning or retaining basic skills taught to him, like body positioning etc..

I’ve been intrigued by one of MBs comments to the effect Galchenyuk always nods his head and says he understands at practice, yet can’t execute when confronted with the situation - I think Galchenyuk’s simply a dumbass, who’s ridden his exceptional pond hockey skill set to the NHL, but has no real room for growth in the NHL game.

Gord Miller had a good line “every player wants to be good but great players want to be great all the time - they practice to be great, they study in the video room to be great, they workout in the gym to be great which then allows them to play great during a game.”

Byron and Pacioretty in the shootout over Galchenyuk? I'll never understand.
Galchenyuk is 1 in 10 over the past 3 seasons. Byron is 4 in 8.

Cammy has done a lot more with his talent than 27 has so far.

Yeah - Bryon is fine in the shootout. We don't have great options.

    Pacioretty shouldn't be shooting though.

Yeah Max is not great but he's been better than Alex. Not sure what happened with him, he used to be great. I wouldn't mind trying Hudon.

Jerabek main issue is skating, he could have become a top 4 D in this league if he was a decent skater.

But you’ve been whining for weeks now why Jerabek isn’t starting on the top-4 D

I never said he is in top 4. I said he is better than our bottom pairing.
