there is an inverse relationship between success on-ice and Leafs fans levels of satisfaction, it would seem.

with Matthews out I won't complain.

But I absolutely think getting the Hyman-Matthews-Willy line humming again is crucial going forward. That line was looking like one of the superelite lines in hockey early on.

When Matthews returns, if Willy goes back to the 4th line, I will be unhappy. But I'm okay with Marleau displacing him at centre for a road game. We have the luxury of being able to do some experimentation with our lines right now.

Would actually like to see Carrick rotate back in, but Polak is the new golden man.

Also, I really hope the Pitts game was Bozo and co waking up for the season. That would be a huge shot in the arm for our offense. No excuse for them not to feast on the easy match ups they get.

Marner drives that line, and he's finally come to life in the past week or so.

Bozak is garbage, and JVR can't score much if no one is getting the puck on or near his stick (though he's done a great job so far this year).

Gardiner makes so many weird decisions...he reversed there on the boards instead of keeping it going behind his net where he had two guys waiting and then loses it to 2 flyers for a pretty good chance point blank.

Does that shit regularly. Mindboggling.
