Fair warning ... the State/Carolina game at the PNC is a 2:00 game and the ice surface won't be uncovered until probably around 4:30 at the earliest. The ice is going to SUCK tonight.
That said ... the Canes host the Avalanche tonight to finish up the season series. The Avs are only 3 points ahead of the Canes but are a MUCH more potent offensive team, sitting 7th the the NHL in goals scored. They are on the second leg of one of those two part extend road trips where they play 8 out of 9 away from Denver. On the plus side, they got to Raleigh a day early and opted to practice at PNC yesterday to avoid having to take their morning skate off site.
I'm assuming Ward in net for the Canes and the forward lines we saw in the 3rd period last night. Until somebody ferrets out news to the contrary of course. I'm going to attempt the PNC twofer today ... God help me.
