Pierre LeBrun:
Senators talking to teams about Derick Brassard; price is believed to be a 1st RD pick, top prospect plus 3rd piece. Brassard has another year left on his deal next season at $5M AAV although it's $3.5M in real cash.

LOL. Good luck with that one, Dorion.

Yeah, centers are highly sought after commodities, I can see it being a 1st round pick and a decent prospect.

The advantage we have is that Pacioretty is the 2nd highest goal scorer of the past 6-7 years.

You would have to think that allot of teams want his services (including the Habs). It would have to be a hockey trade which will make it harder.

Agreed, which is why MB may not rush into a deal this deadline.

This deadline is rich is scoring wingers....Kane, Hoffman, Nash, Maroon, Vanek etc...

These aren't better options than Max but for a deadline deal they will all be more affordable options

I doubt that the Habs want his services after next season at an annual salary beyond $5.5-6 million. Diminishing returns on the investment.

I heard rumors of Pleks being resigned so you never know with this team. Goal scorers are hard to find so if we do not get a center i can picture an offer from the Habs going our Captains way.
