Refs were bad. Canes played piss poor in the entire 3rd. Couldnt muster up any offense. Gave the Devils way too many opportunities. Refs were terrible.
Brian LeBlanc tweeted this morning what has been inevitable for weeks; the Canes are on the verge of elimination. The tragic number is 2, so if the Devils beat the Pens at home on Thursday, the Canes will be officially eliminated before their next game on Friday.

What's that old saying, if you're only going to be good at one thing, be great at it!
Look ... that game was fine. They competed hard and held up against a better opponent for two periods only to get a bit overwhelmed in the 3rd. That's the kind of loss that really doesn't bother me at all. Good effort, but the other team was flat out better. They lost with some dignity for once.

And showed some spine, team toughness in the proces. I'll take that.
Absolutely. They fought hard for that game. I'm never going to complain about the result when they play that kind of game.

That was beautiful. Good thing he has been sent back to Charlotte before he gets injured at the NHL level. You know, the AHL team needs him more.
Zykov is still with the Canes. Foegele and McKeown were sent back.
