2018 NHL Draft Thread

So I think we can just about say with decent likelihood that Dubas ran the draft strategy in our excellent draft a few years ago.

Yep, this already smells like 2015 again, and I'd be shocked if a single unskilled defender gets picked. Between 2016-2017, we drafted at least a half dozen big defenders with no hands.
 
After sitting here the last 3 hours i'd be pretty disappointed if we dont' pick in the 1st. BUT i like what Dubas is doing.
 
Actually kind of like this pick.

Ridiculously young draftee (isn't even 18 yet) and put up similarish numbers to what Cale Makar put up at the same actual age. RHD.

I tend to dislike drafting out of tier 2, but it's producing some players now so who knows.
 
At the time, Dubas probably gave Shanahan a list of players he would've drafted in 2016 and 17. Its probably a better list than what Lou drafted.

Our drafts took a turn when he came here. More emphasis on size and all that shit.
