Many scouts had Zadina falling outside the top 5. Taking him where he did doesn't make Holland an expert. It makes him opportunistic.

Holland’s draft history over the last 15-years may be worth a sneak peak

Well, didn't really matter we got the 3rd overall pick. Especially with MB at the helm of the titanic.

    Nah, that was Arizona.
Elite goaltending will hide a lot of a bad team's flaws and make them look a lot better than they truly are. That's why Carey Price is the single most important player to his team in the NHL.

My new poorly written out thoughts on this season's Montreal Canadiens.

MB's mistake, he didn't take the best available player. He was pressured to take a C. But, to his defense, he makes a lot of mistakes.

I still don't understand why MB didn't trade the #3 pick for like #9-#12 , because that's where Kotkaniemi would have gone.

Kotkaniemi? I think that's a good projection. Maybe he can maybe become a #1, although I'm not overly convinced.

Hayton, though, screams #3 center. I'm not a fan.

no way of knowing that. this draft was unpredictable after 1-2. Look who Rangers drafted.

I think we may have got the BPA... maybe behind Quinn Hughes.
