Game thread. Les Glorieux v. Devils RDS TSN 7:30ET

First preseason game tonight against the Devils... here's the lineup:

Nicolas Deslauriers - Jesperi Kotkaniemi - Artturi Lehkonen
Hunter Shinkaruk - Tomas Plekanec - Charles Hudon
Michal Chaput - Jacob de la Rose - Byron Froese

Karl Alzner - David Schlemko
Simon Despres - Rinat Valiev

Charlie Lindgren
 
Nah, I think Lehkonen's a lock outside of an absolutely dreadful camp.

I'm thinking more that there's 2 spots for 5/6 players.

Think de la Rose, Hudon, Shinkaruk, Deslauriers, Peca, Chaput, Froese, maybe even Scherbak. I think Chaput/Froese/Shinkaruk are all AHL folder, but who knows, maybe they stand out in training camp.

If everyone is healthy, my lineup would be:

Domi-Drouin-Gallagher
Tatar-Danault-Byron
Lekhonen-Plekanec-Scherbak
Shaw-de la Rose-Armia
Peca
Hudon
Deslauriers

(Pending any training camp surprises)
 
Good. I don't want it to be good. Be bad, trade players for picks, get a lottery pick and hope we get Hughes.

I would be ok with winning in the pre season.

As it stands, power play looks as impressive as last season.
 
Awful start for Despres. Terrible decision to throw a blind backhand pass across the ice on the PP. Even more disappointing? The foot speed to make up for his mistake.

Was hoping for more.
