Malkin's new skates bring new life

Up until last night, Malkin had scored atleast 2 points in every game for 7 games straight, starting with the 12/12 game against Florida. That same night, I noticed that Malkin started wearing some new skates. Keep wearing them Geno!

He's been playing pretty good.

I didn't realize he was wearing different skates. I guess I don't really notice guy's skates.

I know it's been quite a while since anyone commented here but I thought I might add an update. MLX just released their skates this past weekend.

Anyone know if they are only available online? Any testers out there that can give any thoughts on them? Reviews?

I read their blog and found out that MLX is giving away free stuff like pucks and even certain clothing items (possibly Under Armor) for answering trivia questions correctly on their Facebook page.

To be honest I probably create enough traffic on that site just by going there all the time. I like the articles they write on the blog........and I like knowing about free stuff.

Although it's odd that they didn't write anything about Mario wearing the skates to test out the new ice at Consol Energy Center. I would think that would be a big marketing angle for them.

From what I read, it is over, Bauers decision to remove him. Theories are its due to the fact that he was wearing lots of others manufacturers equipment. Or the other theory is that he is just not that marketable, looking like frankenstein, zero personality, playing in the shadow of crosby and not speaking english.
