Because Tkachuk forego college in order to attend. It's either NHL or AHL for him, there is no going back to college option.
JKot looks really good imo. I know it wasn't against a full NHL lineup but I really like what I see.
He was very good last night along with Suzuki . Watching him live his skating is fine , a bit awkward on his first few steps but overall it’s not as bad as reports that it would hinder him .
However he needs to get bigger physically and that’s why I give him a brief stint and send him back home.
He will probably be 200 pounds in a few years but right now he may hit the wall at some point in a full NHL schedule .
Both are smart players with offensive instincts .

Most of the Habs regular forwards played last night. I can count 7, maybe 8 of the 12.

Maybe, but Armia, Hudon, Lehkonen, Peca, Froese, Scherbak, De La Rose and Kothaniemi all probably break camp with the team.
