The players have no leverage. If the majority of the owners were actually losing money during lockouts then it might be different, but most of them don't, or barely.

I see Thomas Vanek's hasn't been lighting it up in Fla. was benched during a game ending PP the other night.

He's surprisingly been decent... 1G, 6A in nine games since the deadline. Of course, four of those assists were in one game.

Better than Vrbata, who has 2G, 2A in 10 games.
