Forum shops at Caesars are nice, expensive but a guy like you can afford it. Go see the Lions at the MGM, take a gondola ride at the Venetian. Take a helicopter tour of Grand Canyon, go to the speedway and drive a 400000 vehicle (or as you would say, your second car).

Best of all, just check out all the nice titties, both on the woman with you and all the other prime skank on the strip.

You will also enjoy the cards given to you by the little Mexicans along the strip.

With a gf, I suggest seeing a cirque show. Ka is a martial arts based show with an amazing stage, 'O' and Le Reve are water shows, checkout Beatles love or the Elvis ones if you are into their music. They are not as spectacular as the first ones.

Lots of food and shopping options. There is a large outlet mall you can send your girlfriend to while you gamble.

Don't go past the Venetian as the strip goes downhill fast. Lots of scenery on the strip.

Bellagio fountain show is free.

Walking with open alcohol anywhere is permitted.

Don't buy any strip club or VIP tickets or anything from cabbies for that matter.

Gun ranges are fun. Been to both and are basically the same. Coupons are available for them. Also, there are coupon books everywhere for shows/activities. Don't bring alcohol to the gun range or they won't let you shoot (true story).

Beer pong at O'Sheas can be fun.

Vegas with the wife/girlfriend is a totally different animal than with the boys. Both definitely have their advantages. Vegas makes you almost viscerally horny, and if you have the wife there, you can act on it without having to cheat or pay for it. Having the wife around all dressed up and with a very nice hotel to come back to without the kids around >>>>>>>>>

Check out the white tigers and lions at The Mirage's cat sanctuary too if you get the chance, cork. Both times that I have gone to Vegas I've done that and they always blow you away with their incredible beauty.

They also have a dolphin area right before that area behind the hotel and they will actually hit some balls back and forth with you from the water. I got the biggest kick out of that last time.

We saw O at the Bellagio... you get a better price if you stay at the hotel.. tried to buy tickets through ticketmaster and it was at least 40% more than when I contacted the Concierge before going.

Get the booze for your room at the Mall next to the Mirage in front of Wynns. There are lots of little liquor stores on the other end of the strip but they are skiddy looking. King cans of Heineken are like a buck.

Go to the restuarant in front of Paris Paris. (across from the Bellagio) I had an awesome turkey BLT with avocado on a croisant, and the mrs had a smoked salmon eggs benedict.

Also, for a casual meal, go to the Chipotle's right in front of Caesars... it's way better in the states and get it with some bottles of Modelo Negro. Beats the typical sit down dinner sometimes.

Or if you did dinner there, then the O at bellagio, a late night trip up the Eiffel or the free fountain show (think it ends at 1230 though), that's a nice romantic night to set a real nice mood before a trip back to the hotel room to peel the paint off the walls with crazy monkey holiday hotel room sex.

The one thing that literally creeped me the eff out was one morning at the buffet breakfast at the Bellagio..

Wife and I were sitting perpendicular to this young girl and the old man mid to late 70's. At first we couldn't catch what they were saying, but when we shut up and listened I heard the girl say "I didn't really like that, I got scared".. the old man (I swear to you eating his oatmeal) was saying "don't worry, you'll get used to it" "He was choking me hard, I really couldn't breath", "it happens".

I looked into the girls face, and could see she was 1. young and 2, genuinely scared. It creeped me the eff out. Either this old man was the John, or he was her pimp. Creepy ****er eating his outmeal like an old man.

The chit-chat isn't on the clock, but you do buy them a shitload of drinks. Finding one in Vegas is strange. They're at the bars at nice restaurants. It isn't the ugly scene you expect to pick one up anywhere else on the continent.

No backdoor entry for $1000. I guess they'd do it, for how much more I'm not sure. I should have inquired.

Sex is better with a chick that wants to be there.

I'm not against those that pay at all. Unless you're Hef you are going to run out of options at some point in your life. And let's be real...women aren't with Hef because of his personality.

Everyone gets in to relationships for selfish reasons. For what you get out of it.

Sure you can break it all down to cost / benefit and in some cases you can actually prove that it's cheaper to bang hookers twice a week, but in the end its really not much more than really expensive masturbation.

Just wrapped up day (in the literal sense) two. Went to the gun range and fired an MP5, glock and M4. The girlfriend didn't shoot...some gun-nut was firing a monster calibre SCAR that scared the shit out of her. She ended up crying. Took a few minutes to gather herself then came to take pictures. Wouldn't shoot a gun though.

Going to Gordon Ramsay's pub tonight and then to see Absinthe. Ate breakfast infront of the Paris as recommended here...very good.

Seeing "O" tomorrow. Got awesome seats. Pricey though.

Why?

More flight choices, better connecting options, vastly...vastly superior frequent flyer program (maple leaf lounge, priority everything, etc), 1st class sections (with comped upgrades for frequent fliers), more comfortable coach seats, vastly...vastly superior inflight entertainment system....and yes, better customer service. Every time I've had an issue with an AC flight, I get all sorts of credits and free shit thrown at me. I got 20% off of my next booking just because my touch screen entertainment centre didn't work on a flight recently.

It's really not even close. Westjet is great if you're looking for a cheap haul from Toronto to Calgary and don't mind taking your sweet ****ing time as you connect through Thunder Bay & Winnipeg on the way. If you even remotely desire any sort of perks to your travel, or heaven forbid, non stop flights....fly AC every time.

theREALkoreaboy

For most fliers, I think getting safely from point a to point b with a reasonable chance that your luggage will get there too is what they want. I'm not willing to pay hundreds more dollars for a nicer on board video experience or access to a lounge. I can understand why some would pay for that, I definitely wouldn't.

AC's base rate domestic fares are about even with Westjet's.

Even if you're not a frequent flier, or spend on the higher class of fares, you still get way more direct flights, better in flight entertainment and more comfortable seats...for same/similar pricing.

In Ottawa, from a customer service standpoint, its not even close. Air Canada are mostly inconsiderate pricks, Westjet bend over backwards to help their passengers. Westjet women are far, far better looking, too. Regarding the other issues such as more choices and connections, I do agree. My POV is mainly about the people. I find Westjet often has better times than AC, and will tend to be a bit cheaper (and they don't treat you like cattle quite as much).

That being said, if I flew regularly, I wouldn't fly Westjet for basically all the reasons ME wrote (although I disagree about some points like seat quality and inflight entertainment). AC will treat their Elite and Super-Elite customers like gold, but don't bend over for us normal folk.

What's to disagree? Seat quality is subjective....but inflight entertainment? AC has the touch screen system with 100's of hours of movies available. Westjet has 25 channels of Canadian television (50/50 on whether or not it's shitty reception in my experience) and pay per view movies.

AC will treat their Elite and Super-Elite customers like gold, but don't bend over for us normal folk.

This much is true...in fairness though. They do a great job making it worth going for E35, E50, etc (the new elite/super elite)....Westjet simply doesn't.

In my experience, mainly out of Peason, Edm & Calgary....AC delays are fairly rare beyond the regular stuff (de icing, etc). I've had to deal with 2 significant delays (1+ hours). 1 because a plane got struck by lightning on the way in and they had to switch planes, and another because the ground crew smelled something they didn't like on start up and ran back through their entire checklist before they would allow the plane to fly. Westjet, yeah, I don't think I've ever run into a significant delay with them. Westjet isn't a bad airline...but it is what it is, a fairly no frills operation with fairly limited travel options.

I've never had an issue with AC staff, even before I was an elite member....the famous westjet hospitality always seemed a little forced and overdone to me. Though in fairness....I've never flown through Ottawa, so maybe they hide their ****s in Ottawa.

Its better to find a problem on the ground than in the air.

I'd fly United ahead of AA too. AA has to be the most ghetto airline I've ever flown. Terrible service. I've had the misfortune of flying LAX - MIA or a similar distance on AA and every time something funny or unbelievable has happened. The off duty flight attendant refusing to surrender her seat to a paying customer comes to mind. Or the red-eye I took that had no service because of "turbulence" when there wasn't any. That's American Airlines for me. Plus you get some real trailer trash on some routes.

I feel your pain though. I'm flying back to Ottawa in a few days. Not looking forward to that so much.

I don't mind AC either, but the FA's are all old hags or homos.

Best for me has been Quantas, Air NZ and British Airways.

I still can't believe they actually tried, with a straight face, to sell us on that being an acceptable option.

MGM grand is probably my favourite Vegas hotel. Too bad KA won't be playing, because its awesome. Best pool in Vegas too. We've had some very nice Italian meals in fiamma there in the "studio walk". Checking out MGV, machine guns of Vegas, might be good for a howl too.

The Price is Right. We had a blast there. The wife even got up on stage to play plinko

If you see one show make it Absinthe.

Way more entertaining than a Cirque event and about half the cost. Best time we had while there. Go for a nice dinner and take in the late show.

You should check out renting a car at the Las Vegas Speedway. Apparently you can rent things like Ferraris or Aston Martins and get to drive them around the track for a few hundred bucks.

Could be one of those bucket list options if you're willing to shell out the money for the experience.

Oh and this is obviously a ridiculously touristy thing to do, but make sure that you check out the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop from the TV show Pawn Stars.

It's located in the Old Las Vegas part of town in the north end of the strip, but it's definitely worth the drive. Saw some amazingly cool items and memorabilia there when I went with my buddy back in 2010.

Gotta disagree. Vegas makes you horny, and it's great to have the spousal unit there when that happens.

What a waste to bring a woman to Vegas when its swarming with hot whores looking for the d. AND im not even talking about the random hoes on the street.

The only justification you'd have for bringing a woman there is if you are a fat slob with no chance of scoring one of the slews.

In any case, my condolences.

Vegas is awesome. I'm obsessed with that city. I can see why some would be turned off by it though. And yeah, trolling for Vegas hoes is a bit of a crap shoot. Which is again why going with the spousal unit has its benefits.

Im talking more so about the tourists that are looking to bone.

Disease is everywhere, incredible waste it would be to live life in fear of catching something. Might as well stay at home and wank to the hockey wives thread.

Vegas just seems like a more expensive, less honest theme park where it is legal for the staff to rob you.

Don't want to rail on Vegas, as I definitely believe in "to each his own".

I'd rather stay home and shag the wife without fear of getting runnydink. Or better yet, go to Vegas, bone the wife, and not worry about runnydink.

If you have an attractive partner who likes to f*ck, I've really never seen why its "cost effective" to stray.

Depends on the budget really, if you guys are trying to get down there for cheap without staying somewhere "cheap", Planet Hollywood is solid from what I've been told. Right in the middle of everything on the strip as well.
