Well we are in the stretch drive to the Olympic break stringing a few wins together now would put us in a very good position to close out the season.

these games just get bigger and bigger.

if we want to have any shot at catching the Bolts, the two 4pt games against them in the next week are obviously crucial.

Big big test for Bernie - Bishop has flat out been the best goalie in hockey this year, and it hasn't been all that close.

Otherwise, the Bolts are a very similar team to our leafs.

You guys are watching the 'Hawks or...?

As it turns out both are on TV..which is awesome.

My date owes me wings though...big time plus.

He's a good guy

Me, though?, terrible.

The Bolts, even without Stamkos, are a measuring stick.

After the 6 games winning streak (which followed a 4 games losing streak) we've lost 2 in a row, albeit picking up a point in the OTL.

This game should tell us a lot about where this team stands among the Eastern playoff teams.

This is also the bud's first home game after the western road trip.

Go Leafs Go!!!!

I gotta stop betting on the Patriots, 2nd LB of wings it's cost me. In all seriousness, if anyone want to join us, you're welcome to do so. I'm mostly normal and MNIJ is just an awful human being, not the terrible personality you see here.

dude's solid.

but to some extent, him looking good might just be more of an indictment of guys like ranger, franson, fraser, and the spotty play of gardiner and rielly, than gleason being anything special.

how do you call a hook after a play was whistled dead?

That's twice that's happened to us recently. Dion got a call for interference the other night, while on his side of the blueline, after an off side call. It was ****ing surreal.

Bernier needs to cut that angle down on the chance, especially when he should have never fed it to Rielly in the first place....Rielly had his back to the forecheck, and Bernier just had to leave it for Gardiner who was coming in for the puck and had a better view of the defensive zone. But yeah, Bernier was almost underneath the crossbar when Carle fired the wrist shot, the hole over his shoulder was ****ing gaping.

Bernier's rebound control is a lot cleaner than Reimer's, absolutely. He'll puke way more of those out into the slot than Bernier does. When he's on though, stuff like the Carle goal deflects off of his shoulder and out of play.

Always good to come up with a W ...

- Kinda expected first game back home after a long road trip is crap, so from that perspective it wasn't too bad ... but fair to say TB deserved at least 1 point in this game

- Kadri was carrying the offense all night long, buzzing around getting chances every shift. The first line was kinda asleep until the game winning goal OTOH

- I am a LOT less pissed knowing it's a young guy who makes those defensive mistakes, but both TB goals were Rielly's fault. Especially the first one. Sucks that you can't even make a simple play along the board, and worse, bounce if off into the middle of the ice which is a dangerous area.

- Lupul is making a lot of dumb plays on the ice, in all 3 zones.

- Raymond is waht he is. If he plays on the 3rd line for $1M i can accept that.

- If we lose Gleason for an extended period it will hurt this club, because he brings something that only Phaneuf also does consistently - he breaks up cycles. He has been very effective at using his size and his reach to break up cycles along the board, and the D is a LOT more stable with Phaneuf on 1st line, and Gleason on 2nd unit. You watch the mistake Gardiner, Rielly and Franson make on simple plays along the board and you know why before Gleason came the Leafs struggled so much with dump-in's.

- Gunnar hasn't been playing well this season either.

- I actually hope Clarkson comes back soon. You see Holland makes some good plays, trying to cycle the puck but that's completely not Raymond's game. Anytime the puck goes even near the board and Raymond will lose it. He loses it not only because he is weak physically, but more so because he doesn't even goes into the dirty area. It's no coincidence Holland played his most effective hockey with Clarkson and Kulemin on his line. Without that, Carlyle really rolled 2 lines last night.

- I watch Ashton and Aulie play and I still scratch my head why we made that trade. Aulie isn't anything great, but he's a useful, young bottom pair dman. Ashton is pretty useless.

- And yeah, tough to stay on Team Reimer with Bernier playing this good, this consistent.

2 points is 2 points at the end of the day.

I have no issue with Bodie and Ashton on the 4th line with McClement once were healthy. Orr has become expendable

Orr hasn't been doing much since fighting Parros back in October, Ashton and Bodie are big physical guys who won't embarass you when they play 5-8 mins a game.
