BIG GAME tonight. Last time these teams met Leafs were blown out 6-0, Kessel was mocked by Burrows, and Bolland severed his tendon.

I believe revenge is in order tonight, my guess Bernier starts.

Is the puck drop at 6, or is that just the start for them honouring the 64 cup winning team?

Final game before the Olympics too. Leafs have no excuse not to bring it tonight.

The snores play on CBC from 3-6pm, the Leafs have the 6-9pm time slot. I would bet the puckdrop is 6:30ish if they are doing a pre game cermeony.

Yes I know they have the 6-9pm timeslot, just because CBC airs at 6 for the Leafs doesn't mean anything. There has been times before where games start at 7pm and with a ceremony it wouldn't start closer to half an hour later then that... yes its entirely possible the puck drop is around 6:30pm.

No, that's what I'm telling you. Puck drop is supposed to be at 6.

Yeah, the leafs twitter handle says it won't be a very long ceremony, probably just a handful of players.

Enough with the ****ing ceremonies. Good intentions or not.
They have learned their lesson, at least, from the days where they'd have the players come out and stand on the ice or sit on the bench for the duration of an interminably long ceremony. Now the players just stay in the dressing room until it's all over.

The ceremonies are the worst. No one cares, just drop the puck.

At least they won't be pimping militarism for this one.

This game sets up pretty well for Vancouver to bust their slump. Saturday night at Toronto with CBC sucking the crome off their tailpipes.

Leafs better skate hard. This will be a truly desperate team they're facing.

it's all about the sedins. those are their only legit line-drivers up front, and that's been true for a few years.....and now, not only are they not producing at an elite level, but they're not even producing at a clear 1st line level.....and that team simply can't afford that.

and at age 33, 34 next year, that could be the end for this core.

Just fantastic. I hate vancouver so, so much. this is awesome.(and god do they look like a team the window has closed on).

and other than the one goal where he half-assed trying to blocker into the corner and it got by him, Bernier was excellent. After a decade in the desert, we may finally have found our guy.

What a way to hit the break, we recover from the Panther disaster with two big wins.

Nevermind in a few years...they're in trouble right now. **** all for forward depth and only Kesler being younger than 30 (and barely...). A blueline that is struggling, and the most talented guy on that blueline , the likeliest that moron Gillis dangles to try to fix things this summer.

I'd love, love to be in on that. I don't care how he's looked this year, 27, locked in at 5 million, legitimate #1 defender whenever he manages to pull his head out of his ass, and his value will never be lower than this summer.

I don't think we match up well as trade partners, but that's a rape I'd love to be a part of.

How are people missing the puck going off Gleason? The reason it looked like Bernier whiffed is because the puck changed direction 6 feet in front of him.

I know you're not one of the people (still)looking for fault in Bernier...I'm just surprised nobody seems to have seen it. I just saw a highlight package and they did mention the puck going off Gleason so I guess at some point we'll all see it.

I wouldn't get your hopes up with Bolland, he's recovering from a very serious injury one that takes up to a year to fully heal, also he hasn't played since early November he's going to be several steps behind. If you think he is going to just come back and suddenly be the 3rd line two way player he was before he was injured then your really setting your hopes really high.

My hopes are is he fills in as a 3rd line centre; can chip in offensively time to time, win face offs and kill penalties. Not asking for him to score the Bobby Orr goal in game 7

How am I living in fantasy land? Bolland substained a cut to his tendon, one that tends to take up a year to fully heal. Also Bolland himself has admitted he has scarring issues and he will have to wear special equipment to help decrease the pain... which part am I living in fantasyland about? Yes, true, but Ranger is still trash. Those 9 minutes should be distributed to the others.

And Kuly is amazing. I don't know how they don't resign him right now. I also don't see how we let Raymond go. Guy plays well and provides great secondary scoring. And Bolland if he steps right back in and is awesome...another really important player.

Seems to me we've got our third line for the foreseeable future there. Not sold on Clarkson on the second line though. So maybe we have to let one walk, or put Raymond or Kuly on the second line.

Good problem to have. May mean that maybe we can include Holland in any Reimer/Franson package and maximize the return.
