GDT - LEAFS @ KINGS, 10:30 TSN

Would be nice to bounce back quickly from that ugly loss and beat another contender.

The kings are red hot, but last time we played them we dominated them pretty thorougly, only to see young Martin Jones stand on his head and steal his team a win.

Looks like quick is in net tonight though, and his matchup vs. Bernie should be interesting.

Franson and jvr are back....but holland is out with the same stomach flu franson had...whcih means kuly back to C....And clarkson back to the 2nd line.

Not sure if its 7 D or not....

We should have a game that's much mroe similar to the Ducks than to the Sharks ... we just flat our didn't have our legs in the Sharks game, and this team isn't gonna win too many games if we don't get speed.

LA is red hot just like the Sharks, but there's added incentive for Bernier & Co. to beat his former team. If we lose tonight we got no excuse. If we even get a point out of tonight's game, then we'd go .500 vs. 3 of the hottest teams in the West - LA, ANA and SJ. I will sign off on that.

Yeah apparently GMs are griping about that Anaheim-San Jose back to back, get into the other city at 4 a.m. or something then little rest and playtime soon after.
I can't find the stat now, but it looks like there's only one team that has won both of those in recent memory. A day between those games would be great...

An ROW would be ideal here. Washington and Detroit are pretty winnable, but 4 out of 6 out west would make for a great cushion, and you know Bernier wants this...

What doesnt make sense to me is why they played Anahiem then San Jose back to back then come back down south to play LA tonight, why not play Anahiem and LA back to back then play SJ tonight?

Every time I see Quick he looks quite ordinary. Leafs forwards might feast tonight.
Yeah, I think Jonathan Quick and the way he's perceived around the league might be another example of "Cam Ward syndrome". A young goalie that had a great year and won the Cup early in his career, and as a result is consistently viewed as an elite goalie, even though he's been average, or slightly below average for the rest of his career before and since.

With the pre-game ceremony, puck drop for Kings-Leafs tonight probably won't be until 10:45 pm ET ish

Projected Lines vs. LA: van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Kessel. Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson. Raymond-Kulemin-Bodie. (Ashton)-McClement-Orr.

I prefer Kulemin on that Lupul Kadri line but this is what we're left with if Bolland's out.

So when do we start asking ourselves how much better Clarkson is than Orr? Looks like we're going to need a big night from the top line, because I can't see our 2nd line producing with Clarkson on it. Third line looks pretty good though.

Clarkson singlehandedly ruins that 2nd line. Yet Randy keeps going back to it like baby to a warm ****ing blanket whenever there's a slight bump along the path.

I agree that Clarkson ruins that line, but you definitely have to move Kulemin back to C if Holland's out. I'd still prefer Bodie to Clarkson though.

So beyond being shit this year, Franson has now become a biological weapon as well?

****ing super.
